Carol Sue (Heinz) Peirson

Carol Sue Peirson, age 72, of Fountain, MI (formerly of Grand Haven), passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, November 10, 2024, at Butterworth Hospital, Grand Rapids. She was born on March 2, 1952, in Grand Haven, MI, to Robert and Elenore (VerWey) Heinz. Carol married Stephen Peirson, Sr. on September 24, 1983, in Grand Haven.

Carol graduated from Fruitport High School and then Baker College with her accounting degree. She worked as accountant and co-owner of Delille-Peirson Accounting in Grand Haven, most recently doing accounting for the Grand Haven Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 925.

Carol was a longtime member of the American Legion Post 28 Auxiliary, the Grand Haven Eagles #925 Auxiliary, as well as the Elks Club in Grand Haven. She enjoyed bowling and served as Secretary of the bowling league she was on at Starlite Lanes. Carol also loved to play Euchre and enjoyed quilting, and in her younger years, she played softball and enjoyed going camping.

Carol and Stephen especially enjoyed going up north to Blue Lake. They loved it so much that they moved there in 2021. Most importantly, Carol and Stephen loved being grandparents.

Carol loved spending time with her grandchildren, and was an awesome, fun-loving lady who loved to tell stories, was never mad at anyone, and loved dancing to Pop music. She will be missed by so many.

Carol is lovingly remembered by her husband of 41 years, Stephen Peirson, Sr.; her three sons: Stephen (Traci) Peirson, Jr., Brad (Ashley) Peirson, and Chris (Erica) Moore; seven beloved grandchildren: Kiersten, Brayden, and Bryce Moore, and Lilah, Sterling, Brielle, and Cole Peirson; three sisters: Char Rosso, Debbie (David) Jannenga, and Edna (Duff) Duer; and two brothers, Robert Heinz and Charles (Donna) Heinz.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Michael Noell in 1990; and her sister, Diane Gaskin.

The Memorial Service for Carol will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 23, 2024, at Klaassen Family Funeral Home with Pastor Tim Taylor officiating. Visitation will be held the day of the service, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
