Carlie Ann Ringelberg, age 85 of Grand Haven, passed away on Friday, September 9, 2022 at Hospice of North Ottawa Community-Heartwood Lodge. She was born on March 8, 1937 in Muskegon, MI to the late Archie and Eunice (Nelson) Hall. Carlie married Glen G. Ringelberg in 1964 in Grand Haven. He preceded her in death on June 23, 1974.
Carlie graduated from Muskegon High School and went on to obtain her bachelor’s degree in Education. She started her career teaching at Grand Haven Christian School, later retiring from Grand Haven Area Public Schools after 27 years of service.
Carlie was a former member of First Christian Reformed Church who enjoyed gardening, cheering on the Detroit Tigers, and working with ceramics over the years.
Carlie will be lovingly remembered and missed by her two sons, Carl Vanden Bosch and Phillip (Marva) Ringelberg, all of Grand Haven; four grandchildren, Lisa (J.C.) Middleton, Jill (Dan) Sands, Kayleigh (Brent) Detrich, and Adrienne Vanden Bosch; six great-grandchildren; and her brother, Steven (Karon) Hall.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her daughter, Cathryn Ann Ringelberg in 1975; and brother and sister-in-law, Archie and Petra Hall.
Private family services have taken place, with interment at Lake Forest Cemetery.
