Bill G. Bomar, Sr., age 87 of Ferrysburg, passed away on Monday, November 8, 2021. He was born on April 7, 1934 in Camden, Tennessee, to the late Elbert and Laura Jean (Hatley) Bomar. Bill married Coran Sue Hislop on February 21, 1955 in Mississippi.
Bill worked for Sealed Power Co. for many years before his retirement. He enjoyed annual trips to Tennessee, boating and being out on the water, had a passion for fishing, and in his younger years, bird hunting.
Bill will be remembered and missed by his wife of 66 years, Coran Sue; his daughter, Susan Bomar of Grand Haven; his two sons, Bill (Karen) Bomar, Jr. of Plainwell and Charles (Julie) Bomar of Chippewa Falls, WI; four grandchildren: Megan (Kevin) Grewohl, and Ryan (Emily), Hailey, and Maia Bomar; great-granddaughter, Harper Grewohl; one great-granddaughter on the way; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by two sisters and four brothers.
The Funeral Service for Bill will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 19, 2021 at Klaassen Family Funeral Home with Rev. John Koedyker officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will be at Sunrise Memorial Gardens in Muskegon.
