Arthur “Art” Lee Eding, age 75, of Robinson Township, passed away on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at home. He was born on March 17, 1949, in Zeeland, MI, to the late Arthur and Angeline (TenBrink) Eding.
Art started working at a young age in various furniture factories in the Holland area and then served our country in the U.S. Army, during the Vietnam War Era. After his discharge from the service, he worked at Post Building Supply where he built pole barns. He also bought a semi and spent many years as an owner/operator and semi-truck driver for Meridian Corp., which later became Herman Miller.
Art was a big NASCAR fan and an avid Harley rider, who often enjoyed taking long road trips.
Art will be forever remembered and missed by his son, Robert “Bob” (Stacy) Eding of Fruitport; two grandsons, Scott Eding and Robert Eding, Jr.; five sisters: Ruth Arens, Helen (Alan) Potter, Carol Chittenden, Shirley (Robert) Scharphorn, and Debbie (Henry) Rouiller; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Rosemary Sniadecki; and brother, Johnny Eding.
A Memorial Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., at Klaassen Family Funeral Home. Full Military Honors will be provided by the American Legion, Charles A. Conklin Post 28 at 6:00 p.m.
