Anthonia “Toni” Prelesnik, age 97 of Grand Haven, passed away on Tuesday, June 2, 2020 at N.O.C.H. She was born on March 9, 1923 in Grand Haven, MI to the late John and Rose (Havlik) Kadler. Toni married Walter Prelesnik on January 12, 1946 in Grand Haven, and he preceded her in death on on January 28, 2001.

Toni worked for Grand Haven Area Public Schools as a custodian at Jack & Jill School, and then Ferry School, where she retired after 34 years of service. She attended St. Patrick-St. Anthony Parish for many years and was a lifetime member of the Grand Haven Fraternal Order of Eagles #925 Auxiliary, the Grand Haven VFW, and member of the Farmers Club (Slovanian).

Toni loved gardening, arts and crafts, and feeding/watching the wildlife in her backyard. She also loved to go to yard sales and take long rides up north, or wherever the road took her. Toni could light up a room, and anyone who knew her, loved her for her upbeat, positive attitude about life.

Toni is lovingly remembered and survived by her daughter, Judy Mason of West Olive, MI; son, John (Ellen) Prelesnik of Greenville, MI; 6 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her son, Daniel Prelesnik; son-in-law, Robert Mason; and her five sisters, Agnes Dreese, Mary Jeske, Anna Bryant, Emily Hanna, and her twin sister, Josephine Kadler, who passed away at the age of two.

In accordance with Toni’s wishes, private family services will be held.

Memorial Contributions in Toni’s name may be made to Poppen House or St. Patrick - St. Anthony Parish.
