Anna Marie (McCarthy) Olsen

Anna Marie Olsen, 59 of Cullowhee, North Carolina formerly of Grand Haven, MI, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, August 2, 2025.

Anna was born in Grand Haven, MI, to Jack and Anielia McCarthy on August 12, 1965. Anna loved to listen to music, work on jigsaw puzzles like her mom, write poetry, and watch the hummingbirds outside her bedroom windows. Anna enjoyed spending time with her family and grandkids and many phone calls with her family and friends back home.

Anna is preceded in death by her dad, Jack Mccarthy; and her step-father, Wayne Wilson.

She leaves behind a son, Josh (Cary Zysk) Olsen; a daughter, Amanda (Kevin Weaver) Olsen; her grandchildren: Sophia, Calvin and Grayson; her mom, Annie (Sweetie) Wilson; and her siblings: John, Joe, Jerald, Daniel, Mary, Theresa, and Robert.

A Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday, September 27, 2025, from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m., at the Knights of Columbus (1416 Washington Ave., Grand Haven, MI 49417).

In lieu of flowers, the family requests Memorial Contributions be made to Amanda Olsen and her family to help cover travel expenses, as she was her mom's caretaker for the last ten years.
