Ann Buck, age 86, went to be with her Lord on Saturday, February 5, 2022 at her son’s home in Apollo Beach, FL. She was born on December 19, 1935 in Muskegon, MI, to Vincent and Agnes (Wilson) Keillor.
Ann worked in the office of Clifford Buck Construction Company in Muskegon where she met her husband, Bob. She married Robert Buck in 1955 and raised their two children, Rob and Sandy, on Spring Lake. After vacationing in Naples, FL for many years, they purchased a home and moved to Naples in 1978. Ann always had an eye for design and worked side by side with her husband, Bob and son, Rob in their construction business in Naples; not only did they keep the books, they also provided the interior designs for all of their projects. After keeping a summer home on Spring Lake for several years, they moved back to Spring Lake in 1997. Bob and Ann celebrated their 54th wedding anniversary before Bob’s passing in 2009.
Ann was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was an avid reader and enjoyed writing. She spent hours studying God’s Word on a daily basis and it gave Ann great joy to pass her strong faith in Jesus Christ on to her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her great-grandchildren often referred to her as the “master reader” because they loved to sit and listen to her read for hours.
Ann looked forward to attending her bible studies and spending time with her friends and family. She always dressed to the nines and maintained her classy presence, even right up to her last days as she enjoyed her last breakfast with the entire family, looking great in her cheery, bright pink cashmere sweater.
Ann is survived by her son, Robert, Jr. (Elizabeth) of Apollo Beach, FL; daughter, Sandra (Steven) Moreland of Grand Haven, MI / Naples, FL; three granddaughters, Brooke Melton of Apollo Beach, FL, Bailey (Todd) Murrell of Naples, FL, and Jennifer (Dr. Michael) McPhee of Longwood, FL; seven great-grandchildren; sister, Susan (Bill) Arnold of Spring Lake; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert Buck; and her beloved grandson, Kyle Moreland.
A Celebration of Life for Ann will take place at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 31, 2022 at Spring Lake Country Club. Visitation with the family will be held 30 minutes prior to the service at the Country Club, from 11 - 11:30 a.m.
