Alan Paul Kanouse

Alan Paul Kanouse, age 62, of Grand Haven, passed away on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, at a local care facility. He was born on April 30, 1962, to the late Leonard and Donna (Yourdon) Kanouse in Grand Haven, MI.

Alan graduated from Grand Haven High School and worked as a carpenter for many years, framing and finishing new constructions. He was a member of the Grand Haven Salvation Army where he played in the band for over 50 years. Alan enjoyed bowling and fishing.

Alan is lovingly remembered and missed by his two sons, Nicholas and Noah Kanouse of Kalamazoo; his mother, Donna Kanouse of Grand Haven; sister, Tammy (Daniel) Cuoghi of Virginia; and two brothers, Terry Kanouse of Muskegon and Scott Kanouse of Fruitport.

He was preceded in death by his father, Leonard Kanouse in 2017.

The Memorial Service for Alan will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 3, 2025, at the Grand Haven Salvation Army, with Major Penny Mungai officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the Salvation Army.
