Alan Keith Henderson

Alan Keith Henderson, age 77, of Grand Haven, passed away on Saturday, November 30, 2024, at home. He was born on November 13, 1947, in Grand Haven, MI, to the late Beryl and Martha (Bolles) Henderson.

Alan graduated from Grand Haven High School and then proudly served his country in Naval Intelligence from 1967 to 1971. He was a proud graduate of Michigan State University. Continuing his lifelong education, he received his MBA and went on to attend Northwestern University and University of Pennsylvania for post-graduate studies.

Alan spent his career working in marketing and management for IBM Corp. and AT&T, at various locations including: Lansing, Flint, Detroit, Minneapolis, and Tampa.

Alan enjoyed woodworking, reading, and tending to his yard and flowers. He enjoyed living in Florida for many years, where he was an avid golfer and played in several Pro-Am tournaments. Alan was most known and adored for his terrific memory and dry sense of humor.

Alan will be forever remembered and missed by his sister, Judy Tanis; brothers, Gary Henderson (Maria Fatima) and Brian (Misti) Henderson; as well as several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; stepfather, Norm Anderson; and brother-in-law, Dave Tanis.

A Memorial Visitation for Alan will be held on Tuesday, December 3rd, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., at Klaassen Family Funeral Home.

A private family Graveside Service will be held at Grand Haven Township Historic Cemetery.

Memorial Contributions may be made to the Gene Rothi Scholarship Fund c/o the American Legion Post 28.
