William Paul Stolper, age 77 of Grand Haven, passed away Sunday, January 6, 2019 at home. He was born February 24, 1941 to the late Harold and Virginia (Guyer) Stolper in Milwaukee, WI. Bill married Delores Ruth Koski on April 26, 1969 in Wisconsin.
Bill attended Milwaukee Lutheran High School, and later, received his BA in Liberal Arts from St. Olaf College in Minnesota where he went on to work as an Insurance Sales Manager for several years before retiring. He lived in Grand Haven for 22 years and previously lived in Chicago. Bill attended Harvest Bible Church in Spring Lake where he led a Men’s Bible Study and did Nursing Home Ministry. He also practiced Prison Ministry, teaching the good word to incarcerated inmates.
Bill will be loved and missed greatly by all whose life he touched. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Delores; daughters, Kim (Daniel) Day of Grand Haven and Rhonda (Rick) Lamb of Schaumberg, IL; grandchildren: Joshua, Matthew, Elisha (Alex), Tabitha (Brad), David, Gabriel, Christopher, and Nicholas; 12 great-grandchildren; and brother, Robert (Page) Viharo. Bill was preceded in death by his parents; and his son, Shane William Stolper.
The Funeral Service for Bill will be at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, January 11, 2019 at Harvest Bible Chapel, South Campus, Grand Haven with Pastor Craig Gurr officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, January 10th from 6 to 8 p.m. at Klaassen Family Funeral Home. Interment will be at Grand Haven Twp. Lakeshore Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be given to a charity of donor choice.
