To the Scrivnor Family - My thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. Be assured that Heaven has definitely gained a great man! I remember Mr. Scrivnor from my high school days and singing in the choir. He loved teaching music, you could tell. I will mention, also, that he is and always will be one of my favourite teachers, ever. I have thought of him over the years and am assured he is one of the reasons I love to sing to this day. May our Lord's Grace and Peace surround you!

I truly want to thank Mr Scrivnor and Mr Al Burgess for giving me the love and appreciation of music! From High School plays to Broadway shows, outdoor concerts or those in small bars around the area, I am grateful for it all. The choir trip to Sweden and Finland was eye and mind opening to the world out of West Michigan. My first airplane ride and I got to meet a couple Swedish cousins of mine! You are all in my thoughts, he will be missed.

Always enjoyed the e-mails that we would send to each other. He will always be
missed by me. He was a great man, but of course he was a Scrivnor. Rest in
peace.

My deepest condolences for you and your family. "Webb" was one of my mentors, as well as a close family friend. He sang 'Barbershop' with my Dad, Bill Van Bogelen, along with, Al Burgess, and Tom Garzelloni for many, many years. I will never forget his kindness, and sincerity when dealing with ANY student of his!

A fellow Navy vet, a mentor for church choir and a "for fun" barbershop quartet, and a great friend. Will be sorely missed. Condolences to Norma, and the rest of his beloved family.

Norma and family,

I still remember Mr. Scrivnor from my days at Grand Haven High Scool. He was such a good man, who clearly loved music and teaching and kids. Who else would have the courage to take an entire high school choir to Sweden and Finland, a trip of a lifetime for all of us! During his life and career he touched so many lives and will live on in our hearts.

My sincere condolences to you, Norma, and the entire family.

I attended Grand Haven High School and took choir all three years. My sophomore year we went to Sweden and Finland. Fundraisers, practices, fun and hard work. What an experience! Thank you for all you taught me. Rest in peace Mr. Scrivnor.

Dawn, I extend my deepest condolences and sympathy to you, your family and your mom. Webb was truly one of a kind. A man of kind words and encouragement to all he met.

He never was like Draco, forced into retirement ... he continued with his passions. He will truly be missed.

I'm sure he is teaching the angles to harmonize to get that fifth voice.
