Wallace “Wally” Chandler, age 82, of Robinson Township, passed away September 2, 2017. Wally was born August 30, 1935 to the late James N. Chandler and Olive Hamilton. He married Barbara A. Brennan on April 14, 1956 in Muskegon. Wally worked as a machinist for Gardner Denver and later as an operator at the Sims Power Plant for Grand Haven Board of Light & Power. He was a member of St. Patrick-St. Anthony Parish. Wally enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing, trips to casinos and playing cards. He loved spending time with his children, grandkids and greatgrands. Wally is survived by his daughters, Christine Chandler & Annette (Scott) Bobeldyk; son, Jeff (Katy) Chandler; 9 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, sisters; Flora (John) Pastotnik, Rhonda Messenger & Lana (Tom) Williams; brother, Jim (Glenna) Chandler & sister-in-law, Shirley (Glen) Holt. He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara in 2014; daughter, Ann Hallada; grandson, Justin VanHolstyn; sisters, June Beasley & Artie Fagen; brothers, Larry & George. The Mass of Christian Burial for Wally will be held at 11:00am, Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at St. Patrick-St.Anthony Parish with Reverend Charles Schwartz presiding. Friends may meet the family one hour prior to the Mass at church. Interment at will be at Lake Forest Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to Hospice of North Ottawa.
