Thomas J. Taylor

Thomas J. Taylor, age 40 of Grand Haven and Cedar Key, Florida passed away Friday, February 23, 2018 at Spectrum Health in Grand Rapids. Tom was born on July 23, 1977, the son of William and Beverly (Risher) Taylor, in Grand Haven. He was a graduate of Grand Haven High School and had been employed as a press operator at Transfer Tool before following his passion of food service in Florida.

He enjoyed being on the water fishing and boating, and also enjoyed bowling with the guys on the leagues at Starlight Lanes in Grand Haven. He also had a knack for wood-working, and enjoyed cooking, and was most recently employed at Tony's Seafood Restaurant in Florida.

Tom is survived by his mother, Beverly (Risher) Taylor-Dodd and stepfather, Eldon Dodd of Middleville; son, Adam Taylor; stepdaughter, Loretta Fettig; wife, Angelitha (Fettig); sister, Marla (Andy) Morey, and brother, Craig Taylor. He is also survived by his stepsisters, Leah (Daniel) Dodd-Toronto and Laura (Brandon) Dodd-Luma; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephew. He was preceded in death by his father, Bill in 2008.

The Funeral Service will be on Saturday, March 3, at 12:00 PM at Klaassen Family Funeral Home with Pastor Jeff Elzinga officiating.  The visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service. There will be a Memorial Service in Cedar Key, Florida at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
