Seth James Reenders

Seth James Reenders, age 37 of Grand Haven, passed away Saturday, August 3, 2019 at Heartwood Lodge, after a 14 month battle against brain cancer. He was born on October 3, 1981 in Grand Haven to Bruce and Karen (Scott) Reenders. Seth graduated from Grand Haven High School in 2000 and then went to Lake Superior State University. He graduated with Cum Laude honors in 2004 with a Bachelor degree in Engineering. He married Alicia Raymond on September 18, 2009 at Hope Reformed Church in Grand Haven.

Seth was employed with JR Automation in Holland as a Mechanical Engineer. He was an avid runner and competed in numerous marathons. He enjoyed spending time with his family taking various trips up north in Michigan, hiking in Tennessee, and shelling in Marco Island, FL.  He was a lifetime member of Hope Reformed Church and had a passion for leading others to know Jesus Christ as their Savior.

Seth is survived by his loving wife, Alicia; daughters, Emma and Grace; son, Arend; his parents, Bruce and Karen Reenders; mother and father-in-law, Mike and Mindy Raymond; brothers, Kyle (Andrea) Reenders and Luke (Parisa) Reenders; nieces and nephews: Josiah, Catherine, Keegan, and Aria Reenders; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. 

The Celebration of Life for Seth will be on Saturday, August 10, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Hope Reformed Church with Pastor Matt Schulte officiating. Visitation will be on Friday, August 9th from 1- 3 p.m. and 6 - 8 p.m. at Hope Reformed Church. Interment will be at Lake Forest Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Reenders Children College Fund C/O Alicia Reenders.
