 Mr. Roy L. "Bud" Etheridge, age 82, of Grand Haven passed away Saturday, December 2, 2017 at home with family by his side. Roy was born on April 4, 1935 in Center Ridge, Arkansas to Orville & Polly (Williams) Etheridge. He attended high school in Arkansas and was active on the basketball team and in amateur boxing. Roy married Patricia Miller at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Robinson Township on November 6, 1954.  They recently celebrated 63 years of marriage. Roy was employed by Bastian- Blessing for 35 years where he worked as a stainless steel finisher. He is a member of St. Patrick's- St. Anthony's Catholic Church.  In his retirement years Bud enjoyed spending the winter months in Bayonet Point, Florida. He would keep busy around the house and often had projects going on that included working with wood. Bud enjoyed listening to old country western music, playing a round of golf, reading a good book, but most of all spending some time with his family, especially the grand and great-grandchildren. Roy is survived by his loving wife, Pat; children, Deb Etheridge of Shelby, Kathy(Scott) Kamps of West Olive, Jeff (Lynn) Etheridge of Hamilton; 8 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, many nieces & nephews; two sisters, Mary Hamlett & Betty Cude; two sisters-in-law, Delorce Etheridge & Barbara Brunette and two brothers-in-law, Robert & Richard Miller. He was preceded in death by three brothers; Jack, G.W. & Charles Etheridge and one sister, Faye Buck. A Mass of Christian burial will be Thursday, December 7, 2017 at 11:00 AM at St. Patrick's -St. Anthony's Catholic Church with Fr. Charles Swartz presiding. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 2 - 4 p.m. & 6 - 8 p.m. with a Rosary at 8 p.m. at Klaassen Family Funeral Home. Interment will be in Robinson Township Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be given to St. Patrick’s- St. Anthony’s Catholic Church or Hospice of Holland.
