Robert "Bob" L. DeHare, age 76, of Grand Haven passed away Friday, February 16, 2018 at home. Bob was born on December 30, 1941 to Richard and Leona (Groth) Dehare in Grand Haven. He married Deborah Bridges in Minnesota in 1975. Bob served in the United States Air Force from 1960-1964 where he was crew chief for the B-52 and B- 47 aircrafts. He also served in the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary. Bob had been employed by General Motors, LaRue Investment Co, and Yogi Bear JellyStone Park. He also served the City of Grand Haven as the Duncan's Woods care taker. He was known as an avid hunter and fisherman, and was a strong supporter of the NRA, and a member of the Tulip City Rod and Gun Club. He also had a passion for writing, and spending time tinkering with his classic car, a 1959 Austin Healey. Bob is survived by his loving wife, Debby, and sons, Robbie (Kristen), Dusty (Pam), Daniel (Deanna) and daughters; Dawn (Al) and Renee, and 3 grandchildren; Joseph, Keegan & Kendall. The Celebration of Life will be Tuesday, February 20, at 10:00 AM at Hope Reformed Church with Pastor Tim Taylor. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service at the church. Full Military rites will be provided by the VFW Alvin Jonker Post 2326.
