Patricia A. (Campbell) Sheffield

Patricia A. Sheffield, age 84, of Grand Haven passed away Friday, March 9, 2018 at a local care facility. Patricia was born June 15, 1933 in Boyne City, Michigan to the late Robert and Beatrice (Haines) Campbell. She married Howard R. Sheffield on January 20, 1950 in Spring Lake. He preceded her in death on December 2, 2006.

Patricia was the former owner and operator of Patricia’s Glass & Antiques in Grand Haven, and loved going to estate & garage sales. She was also a talented basket weaver. She had retired from a position as head cashier in the bookstore at Grand Valley State University.  Patricia enjoyed traveling with her husband Howard in their RV and spending time in Florida. She enjoyed her time with family, especially the grand and great-grandchildren. She also attended Watermark Church.

Patricia is survived by 3 daughters: Susan (Tom) Dewey of Ocala, Florida; Judy (Gary) Janis of Maryland; Anne Sheffield of Holland; 3 sons: Dennis Sheffield of Grand Haven; Larry (Marcia) Sheffield of Spring Lake; Pete (Mary Beth) Sheffield of Grand Haven; 13 grandchildren & 16 Great-grandchildren; sister, Beverly Clark of Grand Haven; In-laws, Dorothy Westerhof (Carl), Ray Sheffield (Evelyn) & James Sheffield (Sue); and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister, Eleanor Detcher and 1 sister-in-law and 4 brothers-in-law.

The Celebration of life for Patricia will be Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Watermark Church with Pastor Steve Deur officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, March 13 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Klaassen Family Funeral Home & 1 hour prior to the service at Watermark. Interment will be in Lake Forest Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of North Ottawa Community.
