I send deepest sympathy and condolences to the Lucas family. So sorry I could not be at the service. Myke was a beautiful man, and a leader of men.The times I spent singing and laughing with Myke and brother Don will be cherished forever. He was a true/real barbershopper. The society benefited greatly from his long term commitment and various levels of harmonious contributions. He will be greatly missed by all.

Sandy and family.....just want to let you know how much we will all miss Myke. He was probably the most influential person in my life as a barbershopper. I have fond memories of staying up all night singing tags, then having breakfast at Denny's with Myke after Holland Tulip Time shows, afterglows, and after-afterglows. He's a permanent member of the "Beaver Buddies" barbershop group (attended many Beaver Island homecoming weekend gatherings). Love to all!!

You will be sorely missed by all who knew you Myke. You touched so many lives with your love of life, golf and barbershop singing. Yours in Harmony!

Dear Sandy, We were so shocked to find out today that Myke had passed away. In fact, we were talking about you both just yesterday. Discussing Myke's wonderful voice and us working in real estate with him in Florida. And remember the night that we had a party at your house with the surgical center girls followed by a sleigh ride and then Myke's barbershop quartet sang? And the night that you & Myke rented the Spring Lake bowling alley for all of us? All fun times. Myke was a very special and caring man and will be sadly missed. Prayers to you and your family. We would like to come to the funeral, but unfortunately, will be out of town. I have tried to contact you, but your old phone is not in service. Please contact me when you can. RIP dear Myke. Love you, Sandy

Dear Sandy and Family -- I was acquainted with Myke from Spring Lake Wesleyan days, but really began to know him when I took the plunge and started singing with the Windmill Chorus. I was always so impressed with his upbeat, but humble, attitude. He was always available to lend a helping hand to the chorus (including the Muskegon chorus also), and thanked us for asking him! A favorite memory is from the 2014 Fall competition for the Pioneer District, which was co-hosted by the Muskegon and Holland chapters. I was tasked with finding an emcee for the Friday night quartet competition. I asked Myke if he would do that and he gleefully accepted and then joyfully signed up his quartet to co-host. Don and Cal joined him, and Sid was sad to miss out on the fun we all had that night. They did a great job and Myke was right in the center of it all. We will greatly miss him, as I know you will too. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
