Linda D. (Shaw) Nass

Linda Darlene Nass, age 69 of Grand Haven, passed away Sunday, May 6, 2018 in Spring Lake at a local care facility. She was born on July 11, 1948 to Lester and Katherine (DeGraff) Shaw in Grand Haven. Linda married Philip Nass Sr. on December 18, 1964 in Spring Lake. She worked Grand Haven Tribune for 13 years, and then worked in Food Service through the Spring Lake School System for 16 years. Linda loved working with children, and looked forward to going in to work every day and seeing the students she served. She was a long time member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles 925 Auxiliary, and enjoyed crosswords, reading, cooking, and shopping with her sisters. She also loved traveling, with Hawaii being her favorite destination.

Linda is lovingly remembered and missed by her husband of 53 years, Philip; sisters, Sandra (Joe) Blunt of Grand Rapids, Pam (Cavin) Mohrhardt of Spring Lake; brothers, Les (Nancy) Shaw of Spring Lake, Mark (Jill) Shaw of Muskegon; brothers-in-law, Carl (Mary Jo) Nass of Grand Haven, Keith (Vicki) Nass of Portage; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Philip Nass Jr., and her daughter, Leann Smith.

The Funeral Service for Linda will be on Friday, May 11, 2018 at 11:00 am at Klaassen Family Funeral Home with Rev. Dan Anderson officiating. Visitation will be on Thursday, May 10, 2018 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be at Lake Forest Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to the Linda Nass Memorial Fund C/O Klaassen Family Funeral Home, or the American Cancer Society.
