Lannie (Ruttmann) Zimmerman

Lannie Zimmerman age 66 of Grand Haven, formerly of Ypsilanti, passed away Saturday, July 14, 2018 at Mercy Health Partners.

Lannie as born August 1, 1951 in Owosso, MI to George and Lois (Townsend) Ruttmann. She graduated from Corunna High School and then attended Michigan State University for 4 years. She had been employed by St. Joseph's Mercy Hospital in Ann Arbor as an employee relations specialist. Lannie was an avid reader and enjoyed working puzzles. She also enjoyed spending time with family and friends, listening to music, playing Bingo, and attending sewing club.

Lannie will be lovingly missed by her two children, Carly Zimmerman and Brent Zimmerman, both of Grand Haven; four sisters, Lindy Ruttmann, Lori (Carl) Lamb, Greer Ruttmann, and Janice Glass; her former husband Chuck Zimmerman of Ann Arbor; brother-in-law, Mark (Jeanne) Zimmerman of Spring Lake; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, extended family; and her beloved dog, Charlie.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July 28, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Watkins Funeral Home, 302 W. Corunna Ave., Corunna, MI 48817. Visitation will be from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions in memory of her mother may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
