Kathy B. Curtis

Kathy B. Curtis age 63, of Spring Lake, MI passed away Saturday December 16, 2017.  Kathy was born January 7, 1954 in Wurzburg, Germany the daughter Richard and Elizabeth (Davis) Boyd. She graduated from East Mecklenburg High School and went on to graduate from University of North Carolina Chapel Hill.  On August 6, 1977 she married William E. Curtis in Charlotte NC.  She worked as an Elementary School teacher early on, but after her children were born she was a stay at home mother. Kathy enjoyed gardening and spending time at the beach and also traveling both domestically and internationally over the years. Kathy is survived by her husband, William and her children, Elizabeth (Tom) Dabovich of Wheaton IL and William (Rebecca) Curtis Jr. of Charleston SC and 2 grandchildren, Julia and Evan Dabovich, and brother, Richard Boyd Jr. She was preceded in death by her parents, and brother, David Boyd. Friends may meet the family during the Celebration of Life for Kathy on Tuesday December 19, from 11am-1pm at Klaassen Family Funeral Home.
