Joni Katherine Pippel

Joni Katherine Pippel, age 62, of Spring Lake passed away on Sunday, February 11, 2018.  She was born June 26, 1955 to Steve and Ruth (Richerd) Hradsky in Grand Haven and was an area resident most of her life. Joni married David Pippel in 1985 in Grand Haven.  She was employed for more than 22 years with K-Mart, working in both the Grand Haven and Muskegon stores. Joni was a good cook and enjoyed going to garage sales and out to lunch with her friend Brenda. She loved animals, watching old western shows on TV and the annual trip to Mackinac Island. Joni is survived by her husband of 32 years, David; and step-children, Rebecca Thomas and Eric (Heather) Pippel, both of Milton, West Virginia; 3 grandchildren, Kyle (Hanna), Taylor and Hayley Pippel; sister, Judy (Wayne) Kohnke of Spring Lake; and sisters-in-law, Ethel Jordan of Texas and Karyn Hradsky of Illinois. She was preceded in death by her parents and 2 brothers. The Funeral Service for Joni will be on Friday, February 16, at 11:00 AM at Klaassen Family Funeral Home with Pastor Richard Brest officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, February 15, from 6:00-8:00 PM at Klaassen Family Funeral Home. Interment will be at Fruitport Township Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association or the Harbor Humane Society.
