Jason Scott Boswell

Jason Scott Boswell, age 42 of Grand Haven, passed away Thursday, December 27, 2018 at Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids. He was born May 15, 1976 in Grand Haven, MI to Janice Whitlow.

Jason was a life-long resident of the Tri-Cities area, and attended Fruitport High School. He was most recently employed by Jack’s Waterfront Restaurant in Spring Lake, and previously for The Kirby House in Grand Haven. He enjoyed traveling up north to the U.P., where he spent time at the family cottage. Jason loved any kind of sports, and was a huge Detroit Tigers and Detroit Lions fan. He also enjoyed gardening and playing video games. His biggest enjoyment of all came from spending time with his children, whom he loved and adored.

Jason will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by everyone who knew him. He is survived by his mother, Janice; significant other and mother of his children, Aimee Howard; 6 year old daughter, Elizabeth “Ellie” Boswell; 10 month old son, Alexander “Alex” Boswell; in-laws, Lisa Howard and Todd Chudy of Spring Lake; twin brother, Jeremy Boswell of Spring Lake; sister-in-law, Kristina Bierl of Grand Haven; nieces & nephews, Mia, Jack, and Max Bierl; several aunts, uncles, and cousins; and several friends. Jason was preceded in death by his grandparents, Kenneth and Doris Boswell.

The Funeral Service for Jason will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 3, 2019 at Klaassen Family Funeral Home with Pastor Jeff Elzinga officiating. Visitation will be on Wednesday, January 2, 2019 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home and also one hour prior the funeral service at the funeral home. The family requests that you please come dressed casual in your favorite sports team attire. Interment will be at Lake Forest Cemetery.
