Harold Frederick DeCan

Harold Frederick DeCan, age 86 of Ferrysburg, passed away on Friday, November 22, 2019 at Hospice of North Ottawa - Heartwood Lodge. He was born on May 21, 1933 in Coopersville, MI to the late Carl and Erma (Tork) DeCan. Harold married J. JoAnn Kilbry on March 21, 1952 in Nunica, MI. She preceded him in death on July 20, 2016 after 64 years of marriage.

Harold worked at VanderWall Trucking for several years, and enjoyed hunting and spending time with his family.

He is survived by daughters, Sharon DeCan of Shelby and Paula Ribbick of Grand Haven; sons, David DeCan of Ferrysburg and Gary (Barbara) DeCan of Wyoming; 7 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brothers: Lyle, Gordon, Ken, and Clyde “Chuck”; and two sisters, Linda and Marie.

Friends may meet the family for a Visitation on Monday, November 25, 2019 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Klaassen Family Funeral Home. Interment will be at Grand Haven Township Lakeshore Cemetery.
