Eileen R. (Kieft) Donselar

Eileen R. Donselar, age 93 of Grand Haven, passed away Monday, May 1, 2017 at home surrounded by her adopted family Shawn and Betty Duncan and Jacob and Laura Skinner. Eileen was born November 2, 1923 to Henry and Lena (Van Herwynen) Kieft in Grand Haven. She married Aldine (Al) Donselar on September 12, 1947 in Grand Haven. He preceded her in death in 2005. Eileen worked as a secretary and export manager for Dake Corporation. She was a member of the Michigan Association of the Blind, Trail Blazers, National Campers and Hikers, Champion Motor Home Club and the H.J. Hummel Club. Eileen loved to read, travel, camp throughout the U.S. and abroad but especially loved spending time with her family and friends. She is survived by her daughter, Judith (Kenneth) Sterne of Alexandria, VA; son, Robert (Randi) Donselar of Linthicum, MD; grandsons, Aldine (Monique) Donselar and Christopher Donselar both of Schenveld, The Netherlands, Jeffrey Donselar of Linthicum, MD; great-grandchildren, Cheyenne and Jason Donselar; in-laws, Patsy Stille of Grand Haven, Connie (Lorraine) Sly of Grand Haven, Bill (Faye) Donselar of Grand Haven; special friend, Sylvia Miller of Norton Shores. Eileen was preceded in death by her parents, sisters-in-law, Helen Martin and Evelyn VanderVeen, brothers-in-law, Lesley and Charles Donselar.  The funeral service for Eileen will be 2:00 pm Friday, May 12, 2017 at Klaassen Family Funeral Home with Pastor Richard Brēst officiating.  Interment will be at Lake Forest Cemetery.
