Charles W. Visser age 82, of Grand Haven passed away Friday March 23, 2018 at home. He was born on July 1, 1935 in Charlevoix, Michigan to Leonard and Marion (Clark) Visser. After attending Muskegon High School, he obtained employment at Fillmore Beef Company where he worked for 42 years. Charlie loved to travel and go camping. He attended the Berean Church in Muskegon and then later Harvest Bible Chapel Spring Lake.
He is survived by his two children, Joy (Bryan) Proctor and Mark Visser; the mother of his children, Lois Visser; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Jean (Wally) Henion of Montague and Joyce Vanderwall of Florida; two brothers, Arthur (Nancy) Visser of Ravenna and Dick Visser of Ypsilanti; and sister-in-law June Visser of Muskegon. He was preceded in death by his brother, Jim Visser; and brother-in-law, Winston.
The celebration of life for Charlie will be on Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at 11 AM at Harvest Bible Chapel in Spring Lake. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Memorial Contributions may be made to Harvest Bible Chapel.
