Carol Bailey Obituary

Carol Anne Bailey, age 80 of Nunica, passed away Sunday, January 13, 2019 at a local care facility. She was born on December 26, 1938 to the late Laurence and Twila (Robbins) Kanouse in Grand Haven, MI.

She was a life-long resident of the Tri-Cities area, and was a Bus Driver for Spring Lake Public Schools for 44 years before retiring. Carol enjoyed working for the schools, and loved all of the kids that rode on her bus. Carol was a sports fan, and liked watching Michigan State sports, Detroit Tigers baseball, and Detroit Lions Football. She also enjoyed doing puzzles, reading, and knitting in her spare time. Her greatest joy of all was spending time with her family; they were the most important part of her life.

Carol will be lovingly remembered and missed by her daughter, Robin (Don) Currier of Muskegon; her two sons, Tim (Lynn) Bailey of Grand Haven and Mike (Leslie) Bailey of Norton Shores; seven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; sister, Ellen (Martin) Parrott; brother, Tom (Barb) Kanouse; and sisters-in-law, Donna Kanouse and Doris (Clifton) Grandy . She was preceded in death by her daughter and son-in-law, Candy (Steven) Jonio; ex-husband, Larry Bailey; and brothers, Leonard and Richard.

A private graveside service will be held at Nunica Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be given to a charity of donor’s choice.
