Dolores B. (Bengston) Michele

Dolores B. Michele, age 86 of Grand Haven, passed away on Tuesday, November 17, 2020 at a local care facility. She was born on October 25, 1934 in Muskegon, MI to the late Oscar and Jessie (Marigold) Bengston. Dolores married William C. Michele on October 15, 1960, and he preceded her in death on November 15, 2000, after 40 years of marriage.

She was a member of St. John’s Episcopal Church of Grand Haven, a past member of the Women’s Guild at St. Paul’s United Church of Christ of Grand Haven, a life member of Grand Haven-Spring Lake Chapter #132 Order of the Eastern Star, and the Grand Haven Garden Club.

Dolores was well known for her garden, and won many awards at the annual garden show. She also loved to travel and spent her winters in Green Valley, Arizona.

Dolores is survived by her nephews, Robert (Jackie) Berg, Joey (Sue) Cauduill; nieces, Linda Berg, Helen Jo (Scott) Kelsey; great-nephew, Jeff (Kathy) Richard and family (Bianca, Carra, Jeffrey); and brother-in-law, Howard Dubbink.

She was preceded in death by her sisters, Phyllis Berg-Dubbink, Monica Fuchshafer, Helen Morse, Eleanor Wood; and her brother, Floyd Ryan.

The Live-Streamed Funeral Service for Dolores will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 24, 2020 at St. John's Episcopal Church, with Rev. Jared Cramer officiating.  Due to Covid-19, only invited guests of the family will be able to attend. The link to the live-stream will be at www.tinyurl.com/doloresmichele.

Friends may meet the family from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Monday, November 23, 2020 at Klaassen Family Funeral Home. Masks and Social Distancing will be required.

Interment will be at Lake Forest Cemetery.

Memorial Contributions may be made to Hospice of North Ottawa Community or St. John’s Episcopal Church.
