Darlene Eloise (Beckman) Fett

Darlene Eloise Fett, age 90 of Grand Haven, passed away on Monday, September 20, 2021 at North Ottawa Care Center. She was born on February 13, 1931 in Nunica, MI to the late Harvey and Lucille Beckman. Darlene married Charles Fett on November 3, 1956 in Grand Haven, MI and he preceded her in death on February 20, 2020.

Darlene was a loyal employee of Gardner Denver, and when it closed, she pursued her passion of creating arts and crafts. She regularly participated in local art and craft shows, and had some of her pieces displayed in local businesses. She was known to many for her beautiful, handcrafted pieces of art.

Darlene loved her family, friends, and neighbors, all of whom were always very supportive and compassionate after losing her husband, Charles. She was grateful for everyone who kept an eye on her during the most difficult time of her life.

Darlene is lovingly remembered and missed by her daughter, Jill (Tom) Osbeck of Gregory, MI; her three grandchildren, Elise (Nick) Roberds, Hannah Osbeck, and Delaney Osbeck; her half-brothers, Tom “Vern” Beckman and Gary Beckman; her cousin, Cheryl Pardee; and in-laws, Jim (Joan) Fett, Phyllis Fett, Gary (Ruth Ann) Fett, Richard Fett; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles; her uncle and aunt who raised her, Everett and Audrey Skeels; sibling- in-laws, Walter and Joyce Fett, Marion Fett, and Eugene Fett; as well as several nieces and nephews.

A combined Celebration of Life Memorial Service for Darlene and Charlie will take place at 3:30 p.m. on Friday, December 17, 2021, at Klaassen Family Funeral Home with Pastor Doug Bytwerk officiating. Visitation will be held from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
