Denise Ann Casemier, age 70 of Robinson Township, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, March 11, 2024, in Kissimmee, Florida. She was born on August 23, 1953, in Grand Haven, MI, to the late Leslie and Helen (Rosema) Donselar. Denise married William Casemier on September 25, 1973, in Grand Haven.
Denise graduated from Spring Lake High School, Class of 1971. She worked in Food Service at Grand Haven Area Public Schools for most of her career. Denise enjoyed going on trips to casinos, going on trips up north and rock hunting in the U.P., and bowling on several leagues at the former Starlite Lanes Bowling Alley in Grand Haven. She especially loved her family and relished the time spent with her grandchildren.
Denise will be lovingly remembered and missed by her husband of 50 years, William; her three sons: Ryan (Leanna) Casemier (and their children, Colt and Addelynn), Jeff (Stephanie) Casemier (and their children: Cameron, Marcy, and Grace), and Brett (Erica) Casemier; her mother-in-law, Fran Casemier; her sister, Dorothie (Steve) Shelley (and their daughters, Erica (Scott) Larabee and Rebecca Shelley); and two brothers, Mark (Diane) Donselar (and their sons, Mike (Angela) Rose and Eddie Donselar) and Matt (Lisa) Donselar (and their daughter, Kayla Black); and brother-in-law, Craig Casemier (and his children, Chris and John Casemier, Andrea (Ben) Pilger).
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her father-in-law, Abe Casemier.
A Celebration of Life Reception for Denise will take place on Sunday, April 14, 2024, from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Central Park Place-Mackinaw Ballroom.
