Timothy Alan Behm

Timothy A. Behm, age 63 of Spring Lake passed away Wednesday, September 28, 2016 at Mercy Hospital. Tim was born January 12, 1953 to Ralph and Doris (Dusterwinkle) Behm in Muskegon. He graduated from Spring Lake High School and went on to get his bachelor’s degree from Western Michigan.  Tim married Jane Wiers on December 8, 1979 in Spring Lake. He and Jane were the owner/operators of Tim’s Restaurant of Spring Lake, formerly the A&W. Tim was a member of the Sons of the American Legion and enjoyed spending time up north at the cabin hunting, fishing and traveling. His greatest joy came from spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, Kylie and Wyatt. Tim is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Jane; sons, Josh (Stephanie) Behm of Spring Lake, Tim E. Behm of Orlando; two grandchildren; his mother, Doris Behm; brother, Rick (Debbie) Behm of Traverse City; sister, Debbie (Jerry) Johnston of Spring Lake; sister-in-law, Laurel Jacobs; uncle Melvin Behm; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Ralph. The Celebration of Life for Tim will be held at 11 am on Monday, October 3, 2016 at Covenant Life Church with Pastor Bob DeVries officiating. Visitation will take place from 2 -5 pm on Sunday, October 2, 2016 at Klaassen Family Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
