On March 9, 2018 Rosie slipped from our arms and into the arms of God. Rosie loved her family, her pets, and if there was a good party thrown guaranteed Rosie was behind it with her disco ball in tow. Her home and her kitchen were always open to her family and friends, and many great meals and good times were had, and many memories made. You were never in doubt of her love for anyone she called family or friend.
Rosie had many loves; camping, cooking, enjoying a bottle of wine with the girls, but her greatest love is her husband, Egbert "Butch" Palen and her sons, Cory (Angela Beelen) Palen of Grand Haven and Michael (Kimberly Kasak) Palen. Being a grandma was one of the biggest pleasures of Rosie's life. Rosie loved to have dance parties with her grandson Hunter and more recently, playing dolls with Hailie and Isabella. Rosie loved the years of family camping trips and gatherings with the Krieger and Goersch families and spending time with her longtime friend, Marianne Goersch.
Rosie will be forever loved and greatly missed by all of her siblings, Guadelupe "Lupe" Ordaz of Fennville, Jose "Little Joe" Ordaz Jr. of Fennville, Carrie Ordaz of Grand Haven, Maria (Bruce) Benkert of Fruitport, Ben (Tina) Ordaz of Fruitport, Juan (Jessica) Ordaz of Spring Lake and more nieces, nephews and cousins than can be mentioned. Rosie was preceded in death by her loving parents, Alta and Jose Ordaz Sr.
A Memorial Service to celebrate Rosie's amazing life will be held at Edgewood Lutheran Church on May 25th, 2018 at 1:00 PM with Pastor Len Dalgren officiating. Memorial Contributions may be given to the Rosie Palen Memorial Fund C/O Klaassen Family Funeral Home. We will miss you until we meet again our beautiful butterfly.
