Ronald James Skruch

Ronald James Skruch, age 61 of Grand Haven, passed away on Thursday, June 11, 2015 at Heartwood Lodge.  Ron was born April 13, 1954 to Stanley and Mary (Resner) Skruch in Grand Haven, Michigan.  He married Gail Richardson on June 26, 1976.  Ron graduated from Grand Haven High School and Grand Valley State.  He worked as a manager for Meijer in Holland for 21 years.  He then went to work for Shoreline Services Pest Control in Holland, Michigan for many years.  In 2008, he started SWAT Pest Solutions of Grand Haven.  He enjoyed deer hunting, fishing, bowling, golfing, and putting on a 4th of July fireworks display from his dock each year.  His greatest joy came from spending time with his friends and family.  Ron is survived by his wife of 39 years, Gail; sons, Benjamin (Renee) Skruch of Grand Haven, Ryan Skruch of Grand Rapids, Dan Skruch of Grand Rapids; granddaughter, Isabelle Skruch; mother-in-law Merlene Richardson of Grand Haven; sister-in-law JoAnn Skruch of Milwaukee.  He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Tom Skruch.  The funeral service for Ron will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at the Klaassen Family Funeral Home with Pastor Doug Bytwerk officiating.  The family will greet relatives and friends from 6 – 8 pm on Tuesday, June 16, 2015 at Klaassen Family Funeral Home.  Memorial contributions may be given in Ron's name to Loutit District Library or Hospice of North Ottawa Community.  Please visit www.klaassenfuneralhome.com to sign Ron's online guest book.  Arrangements by Klaassen Family Funeral Home.
