Richard John Walker

Richard John Walker, age 78, of Grand Haven passed away Sunday, August 2, 2015 at Sanctuary at the Park. Dick was born June 5, 1937 to the late Horace and Florence (Covert) Walker in Philadelphia, PA. After graduating high school in New Jersey, Dick proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force.  He worked for Ottawa Steel then as a production manager at R.A. Miller. Dick enjoyed bowling, fishing on Lake Michigan and watching boats from the Fisherman’s Lot in Grand Haven.  He is survived by his daughters, June (Scott) Wilson of Swartz Creek, MI, Debbie (Eric) Zattlin of Spring Lake; son, Ken Walker of Paris, MI; seven grandchildren, Katy, Sam, Randi, Karlye, Jennifer, Eric, Cory; sister, Joyce (Robert) Beringer of Bowie, MD; three sister-in-laws; two brother-in-laws; several nieces and nephews. Dick was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Walker and one brother-in-law. A celebration of life will be held 11:00 am Friday, August 21, 2015 at Klaassen Family Funeral Home.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
