Pauline Elaine (Clarke) Steinbach

Pauline Elaine Steinbach age 93 of Spring Lake passed away Monday, April 10, 2017 at her home surrounded by family. Pauline was born November 30, 1923 to Charles and Bessie (Green) Clarke in Bowne Township, MI. She married George Steinbach on December 27, 1956. He preceded her in death in November of 2002. Pauline worked for the Treasury Department during World War II and later as an office manager for Grand Haven Township. She and George enjoyed traveling throughout the United States and abroad. Pauline treasured spending time with her children and grandchildren. Pauline is survived by her daughters, Kathleen (Paul) Neil of San Diego, CA, Christi (Dennis Casey) Steinbach of Newton, New Jersey; son George Steinbach of Spring Lake; grandchildren, Thomas, Brian, Christian, Nicole, Jodi; 2 great-grandchildren; sister Ruth Hahn of Bradford, PA; sister-in-law Mary Steinbach of Spring Lake; brother Carl (Beverly) Clarke of Alma, MI; several nieces and nephews. Pauline was preceded in death by her husband George, brother Roger Clarke, sister Doris McCaleb, daughter, Pamela Protzman. The funeral service for Pauline will be 11:00 am Friday, April 14, 2017 at Klaassen Family Funeral Home with Dr. M.J. Bender officiating. Interment will be in Lake Forest Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Grand Haven Area Community Foundation.
