Where does one begin, time goes by so quickly. I remember Paul from high school and choir, along with his wife Sue. My most deepest sympathies are with you, Sue, and your family. My prayers are with you and my you find some comfort from Jesus and loved ones. This is a shock to me. Know that when I go to Mass next, I will light a candle and say a Rosary for you and your family. We have lost a real beacon. Always, your friend, Bob!

Well i really don't know where to start .. all the TRC sunday school memories, from when we were knee to a grass hopper to youth group parties to the pole barn raising and our Wedding and the visits and meals afterwords.. and all the great singing to Our Lord! Paul was one of a kind i missed talking to you both a lot.. as we went our different ways.. just think our ways will be together again one day on Heaven .. again words cannot express .. Gee he is in company with so many as I had a dream as my dads soul was entering Heaven.. with rainbows all around he said "I will see you on the other side Jay" and just then the phone rang. with all our christian love Jay and Julia

We first knew Paul through business where I learned he was more than an exceptional man. Later, through acquaintances I was honored to spend some leisure time with him which truly confirmed his greatness as a human being. Paul will always be sorely missed. To Sue, Andrew, James and family,

Paul was a great example of Christlike faith and a positive influence on everyone who ever knew him. I respected his knowledge and devotion to all things exalting the Lord and love for his family and friends.

Your family is in our prayers and we pray for God's comfort in this unexpected moment that we may never fully understand as His purpose and timing. I pray God will bless you with peace and healing.

I had three business interactions with Paul since 2011, for GH home, the Farm and the relocation of my Grandfather's old wishing well. It was during this latter work that I had a genuine one-on-one quality time talking with Paul. He was a Good Guy of the Right Stuff. I am shocked to read of his sudden passing. My sincerest sympathy to all of his Family. I will miss his truck horn blasts this summer as he drove past the Farm on the way Home after another day working well for others.

Sue,
I've known you both for so long, but haven't seen you much in recent years, except on FB. Sue, you are a strong & beautiful woman of God. I have many memories of you and Paul. I actually remember the time when you first met. You knew he was the man you wanted to marry. We double dated, your Mom taught me to sew, we went to Muskegon business College together and you were the one who helped me get my first actual accounting position just about the time that Elizabeth & Heath were born. We shared your job and it worked well!! I never thought i would see this day, especially so soon. You two are the rare few who marry young and continue to stay in love your whole lives! It's hard to understand right now why these things happen to wonderful people. Some day, we will understand, and I know that God and Paul are saving your spot, right next to your lifelong partner in Heaven. Until then, if you EVER need anything, please feel completely free to call me, day or night! My heart goes out to you and your family at this time of loss. Huge hugs to you, Sue. ❤

I've had the privilege of knowing him since we were in grade school and attended the same church for years. We spent many hours on hay rides and other fun church activities at his parents house. We on earth have lost a truly great man. Heaven has gained a truly great Angel. I always thought of Paul as a gentle giant. I enjoyed his singing voice, admired his Faith, his work ethic, and appreciated working with him in business and seeing him when not on business - he always had a BIG smile! The world needs more men like Paul Vandenberg. He will be missed by everyone who knew him! To his family who will miss him the most - please know that there are many of us that liked and admired Paul and will miss him also! God Bless you and help your pain to heal quickly.

I know it has been a while. But the time I new him was very memorable. I remember from scouting and the house being built at the end of Robins road. The one time that comes to mind about that house was Jack was building it and it was shelled in and heat but raw flours we stayed there and watched the lunar eclipse and many times fishing in that pond. The other memories come from the cabin dad had up north where we did a lot of staying at as scouts and etc...... And all the fishing in the pond. A very memorable time was meeting the olé fur trapper who did trading up there that also was neat. Thank you to all the Vandenburg families for the great times and my heart filled sympathy in this hard time. Remember God will give you all strength. His impact on my life and your family's impact on my young years will be with me for the rest of my Life.
