Mary Farmer, age 91 of Spring Lake, passed away Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at Riverside Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Mary was born October 1, 1924 to Arthur and Esther Andreas Jensen in Hart, MI.  She moved to Muskegon in the 1940’s. During the WWII effort, she worked in the lab at Sealed Power where she met her beloved husband, Jack, who survives. They married in 1946 and shared 69 years of marriage. She was an active homemaker, serving on PTA, as a Brownie troop leader, roles in the Retarded Children’s Association, and in church circles. She was an accomplished seamstress and an avid pie baker. Mary is survived by her daughter, Deborah (Russ) Harwood of Marysville, OH; sons, Mark (Sandra) Farmer of Wyoming, MI, Bradley Farmer of Clintonville, OH; granddaughter, Abigail (Anthony) Naska of Columbus, OH; great-grandson, Gino; brother, Raymond (Mabel) Jensen and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, son Paul, five brothers and one sister. The Rev. Pamela V. Sten will officiate a private funeral service at Klaassen Family Funeral Home.
