Marvel M. (Jacobs) Frein

Marvel M. Frein, age 86, of Spring Lake passed away September 9, 2017 at Heartwood Lodge Hospice.  She was born December 3, 1930 in Muskegon Heights to the late Julius & Mary (Regeczi) Jacobs.  Marvel married Theodore (Ted) Frein on September 6, 1952 in Muskegon. He passed away November 17, 2004.   She was employed at Grand Transformers for 24 years retiring in 1992.  Marvel was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and loved reading, gardening, ceramics, watching the Detroit Tigers and all college football games; but her greatest love was being a homemaker and doing things with her loving grandchildren.  She will lovingly be remembered by her family;  Susan (Jerry) Zake,  Bowling Green, OH; Cindy Reames, Newaygo, MI; Mary Beth (Pete) Sheffield, Grand Haven; Mark (Mary) Frein, Spring Lake and Mike (Ruth) Frein, Spring Lake.  Also surviving are 13 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren; her sisters & brothers, Nancy (Dale) DuBois; Emily (Gary) Leyrer; David (Linda) Jacobs and John (Donna) Jacobs. She was preceded in death by her son, Brian Frein & sisters; Loretta & Rosalie Jacobs and Diane Molnar.  The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Father David Gross officiating.  Friends are invited to meet the family 1 hour prior to the service.  Memorial Contributions may be given to St. Mary’s Catholic Church or Hospice of North Ottawa Community.  Please visit www.klaassenfuneralhome. com to sign Marvel’s on-line guest book.
