Lucille Wagenmaker (Satter) Groeneveld

Lucille Wagenmaker Groeneveld age 92 of Grand Haven, passed away Wednesday, April 27, 2016 at Christian Haven Home. Lucille was born April 9, 1924 to William and Evelyn (Sterzer) Satter in Grand Haven. She married Clarence “Wag” Wagenmaker in 1947 and together they raised their two sons, Gene and Dan. Wag preceded her in death in 2002. She later married Clarence Groeneveld on July 12, 2003 in Grand Haven. He preceded her in death in 2011. Lucille worked for Michigan Bell for 13 years prior to working for Grand Haven Public Schools as a library aide for 19 years. She was a member of Second Reformed Church where she was a member of the Martha Circle and funeral luncheon committee. Lucille was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed wintering in Holiday,Florida, knitting, sewing and working crossword puzzles. Lucille will be lovingly remembered by her son, Gene (Susan) Wagenmaker of Muskegon; daughter-in-law, Ann Wagenmaker of Grand Haven; grandchildren, Amy (Russell) Davis, Dan (Sarah) Wagenmaker both of Grand Haven; and great-grandchildren, Elijah, Grace, Isaac, Lucy and James Wagenmaker; Dylan and Madison Davis. She was preceded in death by her son, Dan Wagenmaker in 2008. The funeral service for Lucille will be 12:00 pm Saturday, April 30, 2016 at Second Reformed Church with Pastor Dan Eisnor officiating. Interment will be in Lake Forest Cemetery. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service at the church.
