My sister Eunice Petersen sent me Julie's obituary and I want to express my sympathy to all those who were close to Julie: family and friends. Julie and I were in the same grade at Grand Haven Christian School. We traded visits to each others' homes. We also attended the same church. I remember Julie's sweet nature and her striking beauty, especially in contrast with my ordinary Dutch blondeness. With my sympathy, Donna (Petersen) DeWeerd

Dear Riepma boys.....You have my sincere sympathy in the passing of your sister Julie.....I have many memories of the much smaller world of Grand Haven/1st CRC/ Christian School as we grew up in elementary/ junior high.....I valued your family and many others that were part of that. I remember doing a lot of walking and "living life" in the small radius around church/school with Trudy Haan,....and I remember visting your home some because you were our friend, John. Your mother was gracious, and there was always lively conversation because everyone was so dog-gone smart (as I recall, you all read a lot!) in your family. Julie didn't have a chance with 3 brothers, but I do remember your mom wouldn't let you boys get the best of her. She was a strikingly beautiful young girl as I recall from our school days in Grand Haven. I'm truly sorry for your loss. I'm also extending sympaty from my sister, Joan, who was in Julie's class, chumed around with her some, and was so sorry also to hear about her passing.
