Jon C. Rock

Jon C. Rock, age 71, of Ferrysburg passed away on Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at a local care facility.  He was born on June 6, 1946 in Ludington to the late Robert and Lorraine (Stahl) Rock.  After graduating from Ludington High School, Jon married Suzanne Lokovich in September of 1967 in Ludington. He had been employed by Gardner-Denver, Screw Machine Specialties, and Fogg-Filler in Holland. Jon had interests in anything mechanical and really liked customized cars, and tinkering with them, and going to car shows. He was an avid NASCAR fan as well.  Jon loved to travel, especially spending time in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. He had a special love for animals, especially his faithful dogs. Jon is survived by his wife Sue; sister, Rene’ (Rob) Gilray of Mount Pleasant, and brother Bruce Rock, of Grand Rapids and sisters-in-law Barbara (Larry) Adamski of Spring Lake, and Kathi (Ron) Schultz of Ludington; brother-in-law, Joe Lokovich of Ludington; and several nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by 2 infant sons, and 1 sister-in-law.  The Celebration of Life for Jon will be Saturday March 24, 2018 from 2-4 PM at Klaassen Family Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Harbor Humane Society or Hospice of North Ottawa Community.
