John "Hank" Knudsen

John Henry “Hank” Knudsen, age 83 of Grand Haven, passed away Tuesday, November 17, 2015. John was born August 13, 1932 to Arthur and Mildred (Poertner) Knudsen in Suttons Bay, MI. He married Rose Marie Herman June 18, 1952 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Suttons Bay. He is survived by his loving wife, Rose Marie; daughter, Cristy (Michael) Barnes of Snoqualmie, WA; sons, Gerry (Cheryl) Knudsen of Suttons Bay, Callen Knudsen and Mark (LeAnn) Knudsen both of Grand Haven; 13 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren. The Mass of Christian Burial for John will be 11:00 am Friday, November 20, 2015 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. David Gross officiating. Relatives and friends may meet with the family 6:00-8:00 pm Thursday, November 19, 2015 at Klaassen Family Funeral Home. The Rosary will be prayed at 7:30 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers that Mass intentions in memory of Hank may be made or memorial contributions be made to Mary, Seat of Wisdom Capital Campaign (St. Mary’s Catholic Church) or St. Martin Kids Orphanage Fund (St. Mary’s Catholic Church).
