I'm so sorry for your loss. I have so many fond memories of hanging out Jerry. A few memories that come to mind. One memory is the week before Jerry got married and I had the week off of work, Jerry called me everyday need help, and I gladly helped Jerry and his wife out. We both had so much driving in my old Ford pick everyday, going to Grand Haven and back to his place. It was an honor to stand with Jerry and his wife in the wedding when Jerry asked me to. Another memory I have is when Jerry worked at the Embassy bar, he would hook my dad up with extra food. When Jerry would get off of work at the Embassy we would hang out at his place, drink beer, and play ten-thousand dice for hours. The last memory I'll share was driving Marshall Dys's van for Jerry bachelor party with a bunch of us bar hoping. We also used to hangout at Rex Derlins place as well. We went our separate ways years later and didn't really stay in touch all that much. I moved away and start a new life for myself, but would think about Jerry from time to time. I'm absolutely devastated that I found Jerry has passed. I know that heaven exists and that when my time comes Jerry will be there on the other side and say, "Where you been Mike and how are you...lets go play ten-thousand dice."

I had the greatest time working with Jerry at Old Hamlin. Jerry was such a special guy always willing to lend a hand wherever needed and helped others to learn all aspects of the foodservice industry. I will miss Jerry's smile the most when I walk in the door to the restaurant. Rest well Jerry.I send Much love and prayers to family and friends.
