Jane Marie (Sonnenberg) Groenevelt

Jane Marie Groenevelt, age 82 of Grand Haven, passed away Wednesday, June 22, 2016. Jane was born May 22, 1934 to August and Elsie (Sennerius) Sonnenberg in Grand Haven. She married Richard Groenevelt on July 3, 1998 in Kalamazoo.   Jane worked as a security guard at Upjohn Pharmaceuticals for 23 years. She enjoyed traveling, shopping, being outdoors in the sun, and spending time with her family. Jane will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Richard; daughters, Cynthia (Andy) Parenteau of Elk, WA, Karen Kuiper Otsego, MI; step-daughters, Janna (David) Hayes of Holland, Diane (Lynn) Groenevelt of Interlochen, Christy (Larry) Bradford of Muskegon, Lorrie Groenevelt of Traverse City; sons, Mark (Peggy) Kuiper of Plainwell, Robert (Trish) Kuiper of Vicksburg, Matthew (Colleen) Kuiper of Kalamazoo; step-sons, Kevin (Renee) Groenevelt of Grand Rapids, Mark (Chris) Groenevelt of Traverse City, Mark (Luann) Dresen of Kalamazoo; eight grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Marilyn Sonnenberg. She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, one brother and a step-son, Bryan. The service for Jane will be 11:00 am Monday, June 27, 2016 at Trinity Reformed Church with Pastor Randy Bremmer officiating. Interment will be in Lake Forest Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family from 1 – 4 pm on Sunday, June 26, 2016 at Klaassen Family Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service at church.
