James B. Carter Sr.

James Barry Carter Sr, age 67, of Grand Haven passed away Tuesday, September 5, 2017 at home. Jim was born January 5, 1950, in Detroit to the late Harold and Ann (Russchuck) Carter. He married Cathy Hardy on May 29, 1976, in Muskegon. Jim retired from Herman Miller and enjoyed have coffee at the Rendezvous with friends and  spending time with his family; Jim enjoyed watching  his favorite TV show the Blue Bloods and also spending time fishing. Jim is survived by his wife, Cathy; daughter Rachel Pelton; son, James Carter Jr., granddaughter, Alyssa Pelton; in-laws, Shelia Hardy, Pam (Bob) Button, Kenny “Mike” Hardy, Jim Olson. Also surviving are two special four legged friends, Phebe and Panda. Jim was preceded in death by his brother, Mark Tuck; sister, Darlene Olson.
