Helen A Ball

Helen Ann Ball, age 73 of Spring Lake, passed away Saturday, March 17, 2018. Helen was born July 30, 1944 to Catherine (Smith) and James Boomgaard in Grand Haven. Helen worked as a caregiver for many years . She was known to her family, friends, and neighbors for her kind and compassionate heart. Her hobbies included: gardening, working on puzzles, and riding horses. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who were touched by her life. Helen is survived by her daughter, Tracy Burley (Russ Warber); sons, Justin Hook, and Jeff (LaKiesha) Warber; grandchildren, Jeffrey, Alexis, Lindsey, and Josh; sisters, Mildred DeBroux, and Catherine Newell; sister-in-law, Helen Boomgaard; brothers, Phillip Boomgaard, William (Sharon) Boomgaard, and Joe (Bette) Boomgaard; several nieces and nephews. Helen was preceded in death by her brothers, Robert, James, and Peter Boomgaard; brother-in-law, Bob Newell. A Mass of Christian burial will take place at 11 am, Monday, March 26, 2018 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Father David Gross officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Memorial Contributions in Helen’s name may be given to Helen Ball’s Memorial Fund c/o Klaassen Family Funeral Home.
