Gerald L. Wolffis

Gerald L. Wolffis, age 78 of Byron Center, passed away Wedneday, June 22, 2016. Jerry was born August 1, 1937 to William and Katherine (Wierengo) Wolffis in Muskegon, MI. He married Patty Lou Casemier on October 17, 1956 in Grand Haven. Jerry proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1955-1957. He was a member of Immanuel Reformed Church where he sang in the choir. Jerry worked for National Life as an Insurance Agent from 1961-1989. He spent thirteen years as an addiction counselor at the Jellema House in Grand Rapids. Jerry will be lovingly remembered by his wife Pat; daughter, Cindy (Charles) Zickus of Byron Center; sons, Craig (Susan Chambers) Wolffis of Grand Rapids, Todd (Joanne) Wolffis of East Grand Rapids, Tim (Cyndi) Wolffis of East Grand Rapids; grandchildren, Tara (Mike) Wright, Jenna Vanderstelt, Sarah Wolffis, Samantha (Alec) Trierweiler, Mackenzie, Jamison, Kendall and Kirk Wolffis; great-grandchildren, Dexter, Sophia and Addison Wright; sister, Bonnie (Gerry) Wolffis of Muskegon; sister-in-law, Barbara Casemier; several nieces and nephews. The service for Jerry will be 11:00 am Saturday, June 25, 2016 at Immanuel Reformed Church 1300 E. Beltline Ave. SE, Grand Rapids, MI with Pastor Brian Smilde officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church and following the service during the luncheon.
