Dear family of Ellen and Ralph Thumma,
We are so sorry to learn of Ellen's passing. It was our pleasure to know Ellen. She was a sweet and giving lady. I (Judy) had worked with Ralph many years at ASPC and he was very kind as well. We even met them in Kissimmee, FL a few times after we retired. They will be missed very much. May your happy memories of them sustain you in the days to come.
May God Bless you all.
With our Deepest Sympathy,
Tom and Judy Bazany

I knew Ellen through my father, Marvin French, and the times I got to spend with her where wonderful and rewarding. She and my father enjoyed each other's company, helping one another out, and making sure each was doing fine. She loved her children, her faith in God and Jesus was unbreakable, and she always believed in following the scriptures in her daily life. I will never forget her beautiful smile, the conversations we shared at lunch and dinner, and her devotion to Sally the Cat! That was one lucky stray cat! Ellen you will be missed, and I feel honored to have shared a part of your life. You will always be remembered! And finally, thanks for all the support and love you gave my father.

I met Ellen over 17years ago. We got to be great friends. We traveled together ate out together and helped each other out for Doctor appointments and things like that. Single people always need a little help. I grew to love Ellen for her wonderful person she was. I have seen in life how many people use the word "love" and never know what it means. So "Love" was the word I used lightly. I told Ellen that I would rather show her my love by taking care of her, taking her to Doctors office, sitting there for hours, taking her to grocery stores and reading the labels on food when she could no longer see. Then getting her groceries when she could no longer walk. Then helping her with what ever she needed. I know Ellen can not read this, but Ellen I am sorry I never used the word "Love" more often, I showed you that I did love you, in deeds not words. I loved you so much, wish I had said it more. When Jesus says his words In ISAIAH 26:19 (KJV) I will say them to you again. Ellen I loved you, never knew how much till now. Ellen was a most gracious person.

I, just by chance, saw in the Grand Haven Tribune that Mrs. Thumma had passed away. I want all of you, Kim Ralph and Jane, to know that I have over the years remembered so many good times with you all. Your mom was always so kind to me, even though I am sure that I drove her crazy being at your house so often. I am so sorry for your loss.

My Aunt Ellen led a long wonderful life with her husband
Ralph and Children. "Auntie E" as I called her is now living
her new life with her husband and other relatives that passed
away before them. We will someday get a turn unless our Lord
and savior takes us all to Heaven if we are saved.
