Donna Jean (Williams) Westedt

Donna Jean Westedt age 74 of West Olive was called to her heavenly home Sunday, June 26, 2016 surrounded by her family. Donna was born June 7, 1942 to Basil and Celia (Spoelma) Williams in Grand Haven. She married Terry Westedt on March 4, 1961. Donna was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church where she had been a member of the Alter Guild and present member of the prayer shawl ministry. She began her working career at Grand Haven Gasket, was later employed by Heyboer Transformers and as a nurse’s aide at Riverside and Sanctuary at the Shore. Donna worked for Bil Mar Foods for 20 years and retired from Blarney Castle Oil and Gas. Donna was a member of Fun-n-Sunny Travelers Camping Club and took pleasure in traveling with them and spending time camping with family.  She was a past member of Grand Haven Township Fire Rescue Ladies Auxiliary, enjoyed playing bingo, cards, knitting and crocheting. Donna especially enjoyed spending time her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Donna will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 55 years, Terry; daughters, Kim (Douglas) Loggins of Grand Haven, Linda Semmens of Grand Haven, Barbara (Mike) Zielinski of Fruitport, Teresa Taylor of Grand Haven; son Terry (Valerie) Westedt II of Jenison; 12 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren; sister Darlene (Jon) Graska of Grand Haven; brother Jerry (Shirley) Williams of Grand Haven. The funeral service for Donna will be 11:00 am Thursday, June 30, 2016 at St. John’s Lutheran Church with Pastor Ronald Moritz officiating. Interment will be in Grand Haven Township Historic Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 pm Wednesday, June 29, 2016 at Klaassen Family Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service at the church.
