Donna Marie (Heashe) Sacks

Donna Sacks age 53 of Grand Haven passed away Sunday, September 25, 2016 at home surrounded by her family. Donna was born to Don and Yvonne (Kopp) Heashe in Mariemont, Ohio. She married Jim Sacks on February 15, 1986 in Cincinnati, Ohio. Donna held several positions including pre-school teacher, church receptionist and front desk duties at The Salon. She also worked 12 years for Grand Haven Bone and Joint. Donna enjoyed traveling, loved music, playing the piano, writing poetry, baking, gardening and was known by many as the perfect hostess. Donna especially enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. Donna will be dearly missed by her husband Jim; daughter Kira (Eric) Richards of Muskegon; grandchildren, Gavin and George Richards; son, Justin Sacks of Grand Haven; sister-in-law, Patty (Bruce) Thompson; brother-in-law, Mark (Kathy) Sacks; many nieces and nephews and her four-legged friend, Ava. She was preceded in death by her parents, Don and Yvonne Heashe; son, Sgt. Donald Norvell; step-father, Art Parker; mother-in-law, Lorraine Sacks. The funeral service for Donna will be 11:00 am Friday, September 30, 2016 at Klaassen Family Funeral Home with Pastor Doug Bytwerk officiating. Interment will be in Grand Haven Township Lakeshore Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet with the family 6:00-8:00 pm Thursday, September 29, 2016 at the funeral home.
